Just days after winning the elections to become the 47th President of the United States of America, Trump has brought onboard patriots, close allies, and grok minds, which he believes will give Americans a new economic outlook. The newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is one of the very first strides the president-elect has made.
The ‘Great Elon Musk’ is one of the corporate grok minds Trump’s administration is seeking to work with to eradicate waste in government expenditures, slash wasteful regulations, and restructure federal agencies geared toward making “America Great Again, and provide advice outside the government.
These transformations are expected to foster economic change that will shape the US economy, as the department is expected to work closely with the White House.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was created on November 12, 2024, nearly a week after Trump won the election. He has appointed Elon Musk, who’ll be working alongside Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the DOGE.
“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”). Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies— Essential to the “Save America” Movement. President Donald J. Trump stated.
President Trump has described the DOGE as the potential “Manhattan Project” of the American time—a dream that the Republican politicians held on to for a long time has come to pass. In collaboration with the White House and the Office of Management & Budget, the DOGE will not only advise but will also bring reforms and entrepreneurial approaches to the government.
“It will become, potentially, “The Manhattan Project” of our time. Republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of “DOGE” for a very long time. To drive this kind of drastic change, the Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance outside of government and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large-scale structural reform and create an entrepreneurial approach to government never seen before,” President Trump added.’
DOGE is now X (formerly Twitter) and has so far amassed close to one million followers in just 24 hours after joining the platform.
