  • Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, Lee Kinyanjui, and William Kabogo are back to the government following their appointments to serve in different ministries.
  • President Ruto also appointed ambassadors, high commissioners, and chairpersons to serve in various state corporations.

President Ruto has reshuffled the cabinet and appointed old faces back to the government amid the ongoing skepticism surrounding his regime’s pathetic performance and the widening disconnect between the public and the government, just two and a half years since ascedning to power.

According to the press release on changes within the cabinet & the senior ranks of the executive, the changes were long overdue—owing to the need to optimize performance and realize the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The president also nominated ambassadors, high commissioners, and chairpersons of state corporations, whose status has been submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval by Parliament.
