  • County governments generated a total of Ksh. 12.68 billion from their own source of revenue, 15% of the annual target.
  • Narok County leads by Ksh. 2,982,058,332 in own-source revenue after having attained more than 25% of the annual target.

The county government budget implementation review report by the Office of the Controller of Budget for the first quarter of FY2024/25 shows a dismal performance, as most counties failed to meet the one-source revenue target.

The report shows that the county governments generated a total of Ksh. 12.68 billion from their own source of revenue, 15% percent of the annual target of Ksh. 85.22 billion. However, the report indicates that county governments were able to surpass previously generated revenue FY2023/24, which was Ksh. 10.21 billion.
