African Airlines are making great milestones, providing an incredible experience to customers and breaking barriers on the frontlines, as put by AirHelp, a prominent online service that assists airline passengers in claiming compensation for flight disruptions such as flight cancellations, delays, and overbookings. AirHelp also provides invaluable insights regarding the status and performance of airports and airlines worldwide.
At least five African airlines, including AirEgypt, Air Maurius, Royal Air Maroc, and Kenya Airways, were analyzed and ranked in 2024 using a set of metrics, such as customer opinion, claim processing, and on-time performance.
The new rankings have put Kenya Airways in the spotlight ahead of the other best-performing airlines on the continent, scoring 6.71. However, its performance has dropped as compared to the last 5 years (2019), where it was ranked 28th worldwide with a score of 7.29.
Kenya Airways scored well on customer opinion and on-time processing at 6.7 and 8.2, respectively, while slightly dropping on claim processing, scoring 5.7.
Royal Air Maroc was the second-best performing airline, 57th worldwide, presenting an AirHelp score of 6.25.
