Chances of descalation in the Middle East are very minimal as Israel vows to retaliate against Iran, a move that could turn apocalyptic. The Israel Defense Forces, in their statement on X, through their spokesperson, firmly reiterated their severe response to Iranian action.

“Iran’s attack is a severe and andgerous escallation. There will be consequences. We will respond wherever, whenever, and however we choose, in accordance with the directive of the government of Israel,” IDF spokesperson Hagari said.

Fears have rented the entire Middle East that Israel’s response could target Iranian nuclear sites and energy and oil installations, which could turn dangerous, sparking an all-out war.

Iran launched a surprise attack against Israeli targets with a barrage of hypersonic missiles. Though not yet confirmed and verified, it has been insunuated that Iran fired more than 200 ballistic missiles in salvos.

One Palestinian was killed in the attack, and various infrastructures were destroyed in unknown value as the Israeli defense systems struggled to counter the missile downpour.

The attack was in response to the killing of Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, alongside other senior Hamas officials in recent days.

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in his statement to the attack said Iran made a big mistake and will pay for it.

Iran has, however, warned Israel against its anticipated retaliation, even though Tel Aviv remains in close consultation with Washington about what kind of response would be taken.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned Israel to enter into a war with Iran.

“This action was in defense of the interests and citizens of Iran. Let Netanyahu know that Iran is not a belligerent but is stands firmly against any threat. This is only a portion of our power. Do not enter into a conflict with Iran,” he said on X
